17th Annual Journeys Marathon
May 11, 2013
Journeys Marathon is a challenging and inspirational spring race that starts with the woodland backdrop of Boulder Junction, WI on rustic roads while meandering through the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest and passing many scenic northern Wisconsin lakes. Eagle River's Great Northern Beer Festival will be held on the grounds of teh Hi-Pines Campground. Microbrews and craft beers from more than 20 breweries along with samples from the Northwood's Lush Inc. Home Brewers Club will be featured. Attendees will receive a souvenir tasting glass and can learn about the brewing process from some of the Midwest's most celebrated brewers. This is a 26-mile two-day marathon canoe race on the historic Headwaters of
the Wisconsin River. Paddlers can paddle a whole marathon, half marathon, or
short "Paddle For A Cure" race. This beautiful, fast and wild stream, with lots
of challenging turns and obstacles, makes for an exciting and challenging race.
Recreation and Stock Boat racers will start from our RWT landing at 9:00 AM and
travel half way down the racecourse to the landing at River Road. The race will
continue the next day, at 9:00 AM from River Road to the Eagle River Inn in
Eagle River. The pro-racers will do the entire course in one day beginning at
7:30 AM on Sunday from RWT. "Paddle for a Cure", a 3-mile race, starts at County
G at 10:30 AM on Sunday. All racers will end at the Eagle River Inn Sunday for
an exciting finish. All spectators are welcome at Rohr's Wilderness Tours, River
Road and at the Eagle River Inn, where there will be a pig roast, raffles, and
an awards ceremony. There are other exciting events planned for the race

Professional Musky Tournament Trail

The Professional Musky Tournament Trail events are the most high profile, exciting, educational and entertaining musky tournaments in the country. The PMTT's high energy format has been developed not only with the Pro's in mind, but also the dozens and dozens of other excellent musky anglers who may have the desire and ability to become Pro's or just enjoy a little competition and want to have a good time. 4th of July Parade and Fireworks Celebration

11am, Downtown Eagle River. Celebrate our nations' freedom and Eagle River's hometown pride by taking in our spectacular parade. Over 100 entrants and over 60 floats showcase the parade's annual theme. 33rd Annual Guides/Kids Day

32nd Annual Paul Bunyan Fest
August 14, 2013
10am - 4pm, Downtown Eagle River. This fun filled family fun event features chain saw carving demonstrations, over 75 arts-n-crafts vendors, live musical entertainment and a Paul Bunyan Roast Cook-off by area businesses. Come on down and enjoy a Paul Bunyan size luncheon which includes a heap'n help'n of potato salad, corn, a HUGE BEEF sandwich and a cookie. Food is served starting at 11:00 am - 2pm or until gone.
