Eagle River's Sesquicentennial
4th of July Parade Celebration
July 4, 2009
11am, Downtown Eagle River. Celebrate our nations' freedom and Eagle River's hometown pride by taking in our spectacular parade. Over 100 entrants and over 60 floats showcase the parade's annual theme. Then, when dusk arrives on this celebratory day, come view the colorful fireworks shot high in the sky over the Northland Pines School District and the Eagle River Derby Track. July 9, 2009
10am - 3pm, Vilas County Fairgrounds. This fun filled day for children between the ages of 7 and 12 years. Area guides come together to share the beautiful northwoods by taking a child fishing for the afternoon. It's a great event where many fish tales and traits are shared and learned. 10am - 4pm, Downtown Eagle River. This fun filled family fun event features chain saw carving demonstrations, over 60 arts-n-crafts vendors, live musical entertainment and a Paul Bunyan Roast Cook-off by area businesses. Come on down and enjoy a Paul Bunyan size luncheon which includes a heap'n help'n of potato salad, corn, a HUGE BEEF sandwich and a cookie. Food is served starting at 11:00 am and until gone.
